Her use of light and color, captured and conveyed with excellent technique and personal style, allow the viewer a unique glimpse of the world through the eyes of the artist. Probably best known for her exquisite tropical foliage, it is her sun-drenched candid snapshots that express a new approach in a most innovative way, and when viewed side-by-side form a seamless transition - a subtle shift as the artist advances her world view and perfects her individual technique.

Raised in the Florida Keys, Amy now makes her home in Billings, Montana, where she draws her inspiration from her friends and environs.

Artist statement:" I can no more explain to you what compels me to paint than I could explain why I might fall in love. Like falling in love, I am struck by emotion for a subject, animate or inanimate, and am driven to express that emotion through painting. If my work can convey these emotions to the viewer and touch them personally, then I have accomplished my goal as an artist."
