After Hurricane Wilma, my studio was completely destroyed and I was forced to do a small stint waiting tables at a local eatery by my house in the Florida Keys. Burdines is a small restaurant that juts out over the fuel docks where the fishing boats gas up and you can look down on them from above. I loved the collection of abstract shapes and the sense of comradery between the men at the end of a long day. This piece was selected for the National Watercolors Society's 2006 Traveling Exhibition. |
